چکیده
Neonatal skull anatomy and its evolution have received less attention with respect to the brain in neuroscience neuroanatomy studies. Meanwhile, their influence on normal development impact results of functional studies been demonstrated by several researches. Such disesteem is due weak appearance cranial bones, fontanels sutures images acquired MRI which presents actually only available aperture for observing neonatal head volume details. This paper an unprecedented retrospective CT-based study modeling during first weeks life a standard space defined model. We create two atlases age ranges 39-40 41-42 week's gestational using symmetric group-wise normalization method. The created allow direct observation ossification patterns precise three-dimensional measurement anatomical features from development. Development has examined here nineteen CT scans neonates two-week 39 40 41 42. Deformation-based morphometry method applied use Jacobian determinant maps identify growth observe specified time interval. Precise measurements anterior fontanel size, scalp eliminated circumference area corresponding fontanel-sutures were performed extracting sutures.

Development of a Liver Phantom Based on Computed Tomography Images for Dosimetric Purpose
Introduction: The present study was conducted with the aim of designing a liver phantom for dosimetry. To benchmark the results obtained by the developed liver phantom, another method was applied for the dosimetry of a real liver tissue using imaging. Materials and Methods: For the purpose of the study, a real liver tissue was converted into a phantom based on thegram-molecular weight of the co...
متن کاملPrevalence of Idiopathic Osteosclerosis on Cone Beam Computed Tomography Images
Objectives: This study was performed to investigate the prevalence of idiopathic osteosclerosis on cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) images of patients. Methods: In this descriptive, cross-sectional study, 240 CBCT scans of patients (125 women, 115 men) referred to a private oral and maxillofacial radiology clinic in Tehran in 2013 were selected and evaluated. Presence of idiopathic osteosc...
متن کاملEfficacy of navigation in skull base surgery using composite computer graphics of magnetic resonance and computed tomography images.
The efficacy of a neurosurgical navigation system using three-dimensional composite computer graphics (CGs) of magnetic resonance (MR) and computed tomography (CT) images was evaluated in skull base surgery. Three-point transformation was used for integration of MR and CT images. MR and CT image data were obtained with three skin markers placed on the patient's scalp. Volume-rendering manipulat...
متن کاملEvaluation of neurovascular anatomical variations in maxillary anterior region in cone beam computed tomography images
Introduction: Incisive foramen in the maxilla is the oral terminus of the nasopalatine canal. This region is important in implantology, Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the neurovascular anatomical variations in the maxillary anterior region, observed on cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) images. Materials &Methods: In this cross-sectional study, maxillary CBCT ima...
متن کاملAnatomic variations of sphenoid sinus from Cone Beam Computed Tomography images in the Iranian population
Aims: Sphenoid sinus is one of the most inaccessible paranasal sinus, and is closely correlated to many vascular and neural structures. Anatomic variation of the sphenoid sinus can complicate surgery in this area. The aim of the present investigation was to define the sphenoid sinus variations and the relevant structures using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT). Methods: This cross-sectiona...
